MacBook Key Cap Replacement
Step 1:
- Lay the key out how it will
look on the keyboard

Step 2:

Step 3:
- Insert the small flat head
screw driver under the small side of the cross hinge and slide to each
side slowly to un-snap the hinge

Step 4:
- Place the hinge to the side
in the same direction it came off of the key cap
- Pay close attention to how
it looks and how it is put together

Step 5:
- Pick up the hinge and flip
it over and attach it to the metal tab as seen below

Step 6:
- Put one side of the cross
hinge into the metal tab with the hole in it

Step 7:
- Use the small flat head screw
driver and lightly press the remaining tab into place

Step 8:
- Once the cross hinge is
attached lay the key on top of the key next to it and get a look at how it
is going to be put on

Step 9:
- Flip the key over and angle
it slightly back to get the cross hinge to slide under the key capÕs tabs

Step 10:
- Wiggle the other side of the
key cap around a bit to get it into place, you will feel when the key capÕs
is in the correct position
- Once you feel it, press down
lightly and the key will snap into place
